Forgiveness Project

The Adult Education Committee invites you to the Forgiveness Project Exhibit and to a live Zoom presentation on Yom Kippur afternoon.

The F Word: Stories of Forgiveness exhibition tells the stories of people whose lives have been shattered by violence, tragedy and injustice and who are learning to forgive, reconcile or move on. The exhibition of 18 photo banners and stories will be displayed in the Temple Lobby September 14 - 30. The congregation is encouraged to schedule a private viewing and to join a Live Zoom Learning Session on Yom Kippur afternoon, 4:00 - 5:00 pm with Project Coordinator, Louisa Hext, who will discuss forgiveness themes and story highlights with Rabbi Harris.

The Forgiveness Project believes that by listening to the voices of people who have experienced reconciliation and renewal after trauma and unrest, it is possible to see alternatives to endless cycles of conflict, violence, crime and injustice. You can explore the stories online as well.

To schedule your in person tour of the exhibit, please email or call 848-0965.

“…Forgiveness is first and foremost a way of seeing. It cannot change the facts about the world we live in but it can change the way we see those facts”.  --Harold Kushner
